Move
"Nothing is more reveling than movement"
-Martha Graham
In Patanjali’s Eight Limbed path of yoga, the third of these limbs in movement. In yoga this is known as Asana.

I teach various styles of Asana and am best known for my work in the more healing realms of yoga such as Restorative, Yin and Therapeutic yoga offering both group and private sessions.
Restorative Yoga:
This practice is designed to bring the body into the parasympathetic nervous system where the relaxation response in the body lives. Each posture is done with the use pf props, (blankets, bolsters, and blacks) fully supporting the body. Each posture is fully supported by the props and held for up to 15 minutes allowing the body to sink deeply into a healing state of relaxation.
Restorative yoga is beneficial and accessible to all levels as long as one is able to get up and down from the floor unassisted.
Yin Yoga:
Yin is the practice of letting go, allowing the body to find the postures in its own time and in its own way. This practice works on the connective tissues of the body; fascia, ligaments and tendons which do not respond to repetitive movement the way muscles do. Each posture is held anywhere from 2-5 minutes and can be supported by props.
Yin Yoga is a deeply healing practice accessible to all levels who can get up and down from the floor unassisted.
Vinyasa Flow:
Vinyasa is simply movement to breath, a stronger more active practice where students are guided through a sequence of poses linked together with breath. This practice is designed for a more experienced student and private sessions can be arranged to prepare the student to attend group sessions. (Click here for private session inquiry).
